Wilco post new video for I Love My Label

Wilco can do no wrong. At least in my books they can’t.

Wilco’s new album The Whole Love is set to drop on September 27, their first release on their own dBpm record label.

The video contained in this post is the group performing a cover of Nick Lowe’s I Love My Label. It is pretty much freakin’  perfect and perfectly timed considering the band’s decision to be their own label bosses.

I Love My Label will be included in the Deluxe Edition of The Whole Love for which the band is currently taking pre-orders on their online store. To entice peeps to pre-order their new record, the band has a slew of giveaways scheduled, details of which can be seen at the above link.

The video for I Love My Label was directed by Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty and Christoph Green, both of whom have a fruitful history with Wilco. The duo directed Wilco’s excellent 2009 tour film Ashes Of American Flags as well as Jeff Tweedy’s 2006 solo concert DVD Sunken Treasure.

As I count down the days to September 27, enjoy this new video from Wilco.
