A “new” studio effort in the sense that fans will not necessarily be familiar with the songs, some of the tracks featured on the first studio effort from Van Halen in 14 years actually date back much farther into the past. The bigger news with this record of course is the return of the mighty David Lee Roth on vocals. Many VH fans have been waiting for this day for close to 30 years and for the most part, those fans will not be let down with A Different Kind Of Truth. They may be older but Van Halen can still hold their own when it comes to their time-honoured brand of arena rock.
