In a perfect world, Tift Merritt would be a superstar. Coming across as a mix of Kathleen Edwards, Sheryl Crow and Emmylou Harris, the songs she writes lean more towards pop than any variation of country but are heart-breakingly gorgeous none the less. She is one of the most consistent songwriters that you could treat your ears to these days. There are a number of highlights to be found here including Mixtape, Feel Of The World, The Things That Everybody Does and All The Reasons We Don’t Have To Fight.
