On the heels of 1969’s rock opera Tommy, The Who revisited the rock opera concept on 1973’s Quadrophenia. This reissue features the original 13-track Quadrophenia album, featuring Who staples such as 5:15, Love Reign O’er Me, The Real Me and The Punk & The Godfather, and also features a portion of Disc 2 dedicated to a series of demo versions of many of Quadrophenia’s songs. While demos can be interesting in one respect, the appeal of hearing the origins of some of these tracks may be limited to a core group of Who fans. None the less, Quadrophenia is a stellar piece of Who history and one that is worth adding into your collection if it is not already there.
