Recorded the night after the group performed in Leeds (birthing their classic Live At Leeds album), Live At Hull 1970 boasts many of the same tracks featured on Live At Leeds. This could be a minor detail to many, after all, the power and arguable unpredictability of The Who was apparently something to behold on an almost nightly basis. A two-disc set that includes a wonderful 15-minute long version of My Generation along with a hyperactive take on I Can’t Explain and Young Man Blues, Live At Hull 1970 is not a technically perfect album but it is a powerful live document none the less.
