On the opening track of the first Wallflowers record in more than seven years, Jakob Dylan sings “If it’s a comeback you want then get your hands raised”. Consider our hands raised, Mr. Dylan. Glad All Over sees the Wallflowers break out of standard rock n roll territory with flying colours, embracing Clash-inspired reggae on Reboot The Mission while Have Mercy On Him Now benefits from a Motown-inspired treatment. The Wallflowers Glad All Over is the sound of a band completely revitalized and as essential as they ever were.
