Life in the music biz hasn’t always been kind to Hamilton rock band The Reason. Now reduced to a trio, if stress is indeed getting to the band, they certainly hide it well. The six songs that comprise Hollow Tree have shades of Kings of Leon to be heard on opening track Drive Me Home as well as on Those Days Are Dead. The group’s impeccably tight rhythm section together with vocalist Adam White is what truly drives these songs. There is a hunger heard in these songs that simply can’t be faked.
