With production work courtesy of The Strokes Albert Hammond Jr, NYC band The Postelles borrow some of The Strokes fuzzed-out guitar tones however jangly guitar is the more prominent instrument featured throughout their self-titled debut. Owing more to 70’s pop heroes like Nick Lowe and Elvis Costello, The Postelles short, peppy songs borrow liberally from both of these gentlemen but ultimately throw some originality into the mix on tracks like Can’t Stand Still, Sleep On The Dance Floor and Boy’s Best Friend.
