On the debut solo release from Radiohead drummer Philip Selway, he shows that he is far more versatile than what Radiohead fans might already expect. Opening with the subdued but beautiful By Some Miracle, Selway never leaves his acoustic guitar far behind but shows that you do not need big pomp and circumstance to create memorable, gorgeous songs. Listening to this record, I could only think that it is a pity that it’s taken him this long to get a solo record completed. Songs worth checking out include A Simple Life, Patron Saint and All Eyes On You.
This is a great album. Thanks for sharing, Ken!
Radiohead meets acoustic Foo Fighters mixed with a folky-vibe.
