To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the band’s sole release, Temple Of The Dog – a group comprised of members of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam that came together to pay tribute to a lost friend – revisit their million-selling album, adding a plethora of goodies sure to placate ardent fans, many of whom have no doubt been yearning for additional material for the last quarter century. This Super Deluxe release, consisting of two CDs and two DVDs, is packed to the hilt with alternate mixes, demos and outtakes, in addition to a 25th anniversary mix of the album. Given the previously limited output from the group, the DVDs truly are the gems of the package, including a previously unreleased, scrappy-looking six song live set filmed at Seattle’s Off Ramp Café along with other performances undertaken in 2011 and 2015. While it may have been tragedy that initially brought them together, the music of Temple Of The Dog has lived on with good reason.
