Review of The Beatles – Live At The BBC Volume 2 (Capitol / Universal Music Canada)

If one thing in the world is certain, there can never be enough Beatles in our lives. Undoubtedly one of the most important bands in pop music history, Live At The BBC Volume 2 features 37 previously unreleased performances recorded between March 1962 and June 1965. Featuring covers of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Chuck Berry alongside Lennon-McCartney originals like Please Please Me, I Want To Hold Your Hand and From Me To You, the band’s performances are inspired, energetic and without a hint of pretension. This double-disc collection is an amazing snapshot of the first half of The Beatles all too brief career.
