Boasting one of the most distinct voices in music today, Sean Rowe’s gritty, baritone vocals adorn each of the dozen tracks featured on Madman. As he has done on his prior efforts, Rowe walks a fine line between folk, blues and rock, bringing all three together in joyous harmony throughout his latest record. The album’s opening track “Madman”, “The Game” and “Done Calling You” could each comfortably reside in the realm of folk music, Rowe indulges in some electric guitar on “Shine My Diamond Ring,” paying tribute to blues great Muddy Waters while he cuts wonderfully loose on “The Real Thing.”
