Even 20 years after its release, Pantera’s Far Beyond Driven remains an uncompromisingly relentless album in the world of heavy metal. A chart-topping musical anomaly at the time, this re-release includes a remastered version of the original album along with a nine track bonus disc of a live show taken from England’s Monsters of Rock Festival in 1994. While the bonus disc shows what a powerhouse Pantera was when it came to their live show, the live tracks are not a direct soundboard recording. Nonetheless, the historical context that the disc provides far outweighs the sonic limitations of the songs.
