Undoubtedly one of the most important recording studios in the United States, the accompanying soundtrack to the documentary of the same name is a wonderful walk through history. While it is obviously impossible to compile one song from each of the artists who recorded there, the 13 tracks featured here are just the tip of an impressive iceberg: Wilson Pickett (covering Hey Jude), Percy Sledge (When A Man Loves A Woman), Paul Simon (Kodachrome) and The Staple Singers (I’ll Take You There) offer a mere sample at the endless hits that poured out of the iconic Alabama studio.
