Review of Mudhoney – Vanishing Point (Sub Pop/Outside Music)

Far from being the most successful group of the grunge movement, Mudhoney is unquestionably one of the best. They are also one of the few bands from that era that have continued releasing new music over the past two decades since grunge lost its glow. Thankfully, Mudhoney continue doing what they do best on Vanishing Point, giving listeners more than ample doses of fuzzed-out guitars. Drawing from The Stooges on tracks like Chardonnay and I Don’t Remember You, Mudhoney aren’t out to the reinvent the wheel with Vanishing Point and that’s just fine with me.
