Although Moncton native Mike Plume has lived the better part of the last decade in Nashville, he wears his Canadian pride on his sleeve on this, his 11th release. Red And White Blues is laden with many Canadian references and, appropriately, many styles of music. While roots-rock might be the most appropriate catchall for Plume’s career to date, he also flirts wonderfully with Celtic rock like on Coming Home Again and Live It Up Until They Lower Me Down. With this newest album, Mike Plume proves that he is only getting better with age.
