Review of Eric Clapton – Unplugged (Deluxe Edition) (Warner Music Canada)

ClaptonIt was in 1992 that Eric Clapton’s landmark Unplugged record helped to revitalize his career, selling more than 10 million copies in the United States alone. This reissue features the original 14-track album in addition to a wealth of bonus features. An extra audio disc of six outtakes is nice but the real gem in this set is the DVD. The original Unplugged broadcast is here in addition to rehearsal footage of seven songs, helping shine a new light on one of Clapton’s finest moments in the spotlight.
