Boasting thick, sludgy guitar riffs and gruff vocals, the full-length debut from Moncton’s Diablo Strange never fails to find a groove. With visions of Clutch and Black Sabbath dancing in their heads, the group powers it was through these 11 tracks. Whether you consider the group to be a stoner rock, hard rock or a heavy metal band, there are really no surprises to be found here otherwise. And that’s not a bad thing. What you see is what you get with Diablo Strange: straight up, well executed rock n roll, played with passion. What more can you ask for?
