Over the course of their two full-length studio albums, Prince Edward Island’s Death Valley Driver has proven they are a force to be reckoned with both live and on record. But rather than merely returning to the drawing board and rehashing old ideas, the band sought the help of Paper Lions member Colin Buchanan to help diversify their sound. The results are nothing short of spectacular. While the four songs on Carnivore’s Oath have the same muscle and passion as their earlier works (think Black Sabbath meets Motorhead), Buchanan helps to bring out the groove in the group, most evident on “Drowning In Silver” and the EP’s title track.
