In the decade following the release of their debut album, Death From Above 1979 released a slew of remix albums before splitting up. In 2011, the group subsequently reunited to tour, record and release their highly anticipated sophomore record, The Physical World. Having built their name on a combination of relentless bass riffs and thunderous drumming, The Physical World is the righteous follow-up to their 2004 debut record. Featuring a well-balanced mix of punk-influenced heaviness (“Right On, Frankenstein!” and “Nothing Left”) and electro-inspired madness (“White Is Red” and “Crystal Ball,”) Death From Above 1979 delve deeper into their unique sound while avoiding the sophomore jinx with flying colours.
