Rather than simply pushing out a new record of original material, pop stalwarts Blondie package their new album Ghosts of Download with re-done versions of 11 of the group’s biggest tracks. And while they do a commendable job faithfully reproducing classic Blondie tracks like “Heart of Glass” and “One Way Or Another” on the hits portion of the disc, many folks (including myself) would simply opt to hear the originals given the choice. Aside from a lacklustre cover of “Relax,” Ghosts of Download fares slightly better offering a danceable collection of songs that leans rather heavily upon electronica.
