After two records with Wolfmother, Andrew Stockdale strikes out on his own for the always rocking Keep Moving. Musically, Stockdale stays close to the same Led Zeppelin vibe that drove Wolfmother. So while he hasn’t exactly used his solo record to explore new terrain, familiarity isn’t such a bad thing. There is little denying Stockdale’s talent and knack for crafting decent, classic-sounding rock n roll, my only complaint about this record is the fact it is 17 songs long. A little restraint in the editing department could have left people wanting more instead of wondering when the record was going to wrap up.
