2014 marks the 40th anniversary of the release of Abba’s Waterloo, their American debut record but their second album overall. Reissued here with a slew of bonus tracks and a DVD featuring performances on the Eurovision Song Contest and Tops of the Pops, the original album sees the group flex their muscles in genres as diverse as reggae (“Sitting In The Palmtree”), rock (“King Kong Song”) and of course, pop (“Honey Honey”, the album’s title track). Although they are best known as a pop group, the breadth of their music outside from their numerous hits is truly outstanding.
