Hailing from Saint John, the debut effort from December Fall Out (DFO for short) packs a lot of energy over the course of the record’s eight tracks. The band takes the spirit of pop-punk and mixes that with a healthy dose of rock to help them avoid merely blending into the background. With that heavier reliance on rock music comes a fair dose of melody and anthemic choruses that will stick with you long after the record has ended. More recently, the group released a pair of tracks to celebrate last weekend’s Record Store Day (including a cool cover of Weezer’s “Tired Of Sex”) that is worth checking out on their Bandcamp website at dfomusic.bandcamp.com.
