Review: Bryan Adams – Reckless (30th Anniversary Edition) (Deluxe Edition) (Universal Music Canada)

Bryan AdamsWhile Bryan Adams was a rock star in Canada in the time leading up to Reckless, this album is the one that made him an international superstar, spawning no less than five chart-topping singles (“Run To You,” “Heaven,” “Summer of ’69,” “It’s Only Love” and “Somebody”). To commemorate the album’s 30th anniversary, the original studio record has been reissued with an additional seven tracks, including the album title track along with the superb “Let Me Down Easy,” which The Who’s Roger Daltrey covered. The second disc in this collection is a killer live show taken from Britain’s Hammersmith Odeon six months after the album’s release, capturing the Canadian songwriter just before he became a global phenomenon.
