As her career has progressed, so has the musical pallet upon which Norah Jones paints. We started to get glimpses of her being than simply a jazz artist with her 2007 record Not Too Late however Little Broken Hearts is perhaps her boldest statement to date. Produced by Brian Burton (aka Danger Mouse), Jones refines the art of the break-up album with a certain finesse that layers her sound with textures and sounds that Jones has not previously explored with such depth. The record is a far cry from the jazzy undertones of her earlier work yet, like any good artist, Jones continues to travel different musical paths whether you’re along for the ride or not.
