Drawing upon a wide range of influences including Beck, The Beatles, Phoenix and more, Montreal’s Nash delivers a solid debut album. Though Beck is the primary musical influence to be heard in tracks like Broken Down Satellites and album opener Walk Alone, there is an undeniable pop undercurrent running through virtually all of the songs here. Those undercurrents help make tracks like These Days and Friendz R Drugz radio hits in waiting. Those who influenced him may cover a broad ground yet Nash is able to bring it all together and churn out a cohesive sounding record at the end of the day.
