The cream of New Brunswick’s musical crop will be venturing to Saint John later this week for Music New Brunswick Week. A slew of musical showcases and conferences are slated to take place over four days.
The event wraps up with the Music New Brunswick Awards on Sunday evening.
Now of course, me, being of the horn tooting kind, can’t resist mentioning the conference I am taking part in on Saturday morning as a part of the weekend’s festivities. Along with Mike Landry from Saint John’s Telegraph Journal and CFMH Station Manager Brian Cleveland, I will be taking part in a conference known as “You Call That A Press Kit?!”
Jeff Liberty is charged with keeping us all in line.
Expect a lot of bitching about what bands should be doing (but aren’t) when it comes to pitching their music. I’m joking about the bitching part. I think so, anyway.
The conference takes place 10:00 am in the Delta Brunswick Hotel Ballroom C.
I’m actually really excited to be taking part in the conference so if you happen to want to spit in my face or shake my hand, here’s your chance!
