Yesterday in Fredericton, the nominees for the first Music New Brunswick Awards were announced.
Among the highlights to note are the nominees for Anglophone Recording Of The Year (Chris Colepaugh, The Divorcees, Mel Keith & The Strombachs, Jessica Rhaye and Olympic Symphonium) and the Group Recording Of The Year (The Divorcees, Rik Reese & Neon Highway, Chris Colepaugh, Les Paiens and Olympic Symphonium).
On October 7, 8 and 9, the City of Moncton will play host to Music New Brunswick Week, a three day event that will include opportunities for professional development, showcasing and networking opportunities for the province’s musicians. A full list of showcasing artists will be made available to the public on Tuesday September 14 on the MNB website.
The province of New Brunswick has a wealth of talented musicians and artists. Kudos to jean Surette and Music NB for getting an awards program together to compliment the already existing MNB Week.
A complete list of Music New Brunswick Award nominees can be found here. Good luck to all nominees!
