Sam Beam rose to international prominence thanks to his early intimate, sparse acoustic guitar recordings. Over the course of his past few studio records though, we have seen Beam opt for a much broader brush to paint with and I for one love it. With horns, drum loops and more to be found on Kiss Each Other Clean, I fully anticipate this record turning some long-time fans away while bringing a new generation of fans on board. Highlights worth checking out include Walking Far From Home, Godless Brother In Love and Tree By The River.
