For an artist that seems to take painstaking efforts to create the perfect record with each and every new album he releases, there is a certain looseness to this live effort that helps dispel the myth that he is too uptight. None the less, Costello delivers a stellar set of his own tracks from all points of his career (Lipstick Vogue, National Ransom, God Give Me Strength, Mystery Dance) while also delivering a great cover of Nick Lowe’s Heart of the City.
