Good news for those on the tardy side these days: New Brunswick musicians can still submit their application to a showcase during Music NB Week which will take place from October 14th to the 16th, 2011, in Moncton, NB. They can apply online at www.musicnb.org until Sunday July 24, at midnight.
MNB Week is a three day cultural event during which emerging and established New Brunswick artists have the opportunity to present their material in showcases that are open to the public. They will also have the chance to meet and network with buyers, producers, promoters, and many players of the Atlantic music industry.
Here’s a list of some of the artists that were programmed during the inaugural edition of Music NB Week in 2010: Stephanie Mainville, Clinton Charlton, Rik Reese & Neon Highway, Melanie D, Kendra Gale, Hélène Godin, Lisa LeBlanc, Mel Keith & the Strombachs, Sleepy Driver, Something Delicious, Shotgun Jimmy, Andy Brown, Great Balancing Act, Hospital Grade,Chris Boudreau, The Arka Teks, Daniel Goguen, Lovestorm, Melanie Morgan, Penny Blacks, Corey Isenor, Mike Biggar,Phil Flowers, Terry Whalen Band.

Music NB Awards: The deadline for the 2011 Music NB Awards has also been extended to Sunday July 24 at midnight. The second edition of the awards will take place on October 16th in Moncton and will conclude Music NB Week.
