With his star rising higher with each successive release, Fredericton native David Myles unknowingly made a great live record when he performed at Halifax’s Carleton venue in December 2010. Myles had no idea that his performances were being recorded, so the performances captured are completely relaxed. The charm that pervades his studio records is more than evident on stage, making the songs loose and carefree and nothing short of perfection. The unique meld of pop, roots and jazz that has been Myles’ guiding light is in full effect, while his banter between songs is almost worth the price of admission itself. Highlights include the seductive Turn Time Off, Need A Break and Don’t Drive Through.
