If you didn’t know better, you’d swear that the newest record from acclaimed singer-songwriter Daniel Romano was straight out of the earliest eras of country music. Romano takes obvious great care to pay tribute to this critical time for country music with echoes of Hank Williams Sr and George Jones plentiful throughout the record. Romano’s easy-going vocals, complimented by an abundance of pedal steel, fiddle and backing vocals by Julie Doiron and The Sadies’ Dallas Good will have country music purists clamouring for more.
