If there is one type of music video that I freakin’ love, it is videos of bands on the road. Where did this love first come from? Honestly, I think it was seeing the video for Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead Or Alive” when I was 11 or 12 years old. I’m not kidding. Everything “on the road” just looked so bloody awesome to a pre-teen.
And even though I am now a pre-teen plus 25+ years, I can say I have the same affinity for the newest video from Moncton band The Motorleague.
Now, one can ponder whether The Motorleague have seen a million faces and rocked them all (I’m sure they have). Or we can also wonder if they call their Caravan their steel horse. Do Don and Nathan walk around the cities they play with their loaded six strings on their backs? No such footage exists in this video but I bet they do.
The point is, The Motorleague are every bit as great as Bon Jovi. Yes, I just said that. But thanks to the Motorleague, I just might have a new favourite “on the road” video. Thanks, boys.
