The 2009 debut effort from this English trio completely rocked my socks off. Sounding like a modern day Led Zeppelin, Band of Skulls were obviously not afraid to wear their influences on their sleeves. With their sophomore record Sweet Sour, the band continues to proudly show off their influences but have seemingly developed a real knack for melody in the past couple of years. Vocalists Russell Marsden and Emma Richardson trade off vocals throughout the record yet when they sing together, there is an undeniable chemistry coming through their vocals that few other bands are able to easily achieve.
