Everything about the reunion of the remaining living members of the Beach Boys has seemingly felt rushed. But with Brian Wilson at the helm, this really is the best-case scenario when it comes to new music from The Beach Boys. Remarkably, their vocal harmonies sound crisp and as vital as ever. Do the songs stand up though? Yes and no. Once you dispel the notion that you’re not going to hear the same brilliance of some of their earlier work, That’s Why God Made The Radio isn’t a bad little record by any means.
