Sweet Thing – S/T (EMI Music Canada)

On their major label debut, Toronto’s Sweet Thing takes a page or two from the playbook of dance-pop. Even though the band isn’t as flat-out dance-oriented as a group like Franz Ferdinand, there is no denying the dance sensibilities contained in tracks like Dance Mother and album opener Change of Seasons. Other tracks like Lazy Susan and Lorraine are a little more straightforward pop music and could very well be Jellyfish out-takes.
