Review: The Cars – Moving In Stereo: The Best of The Cars (Warner Music Canada)

The CarsI know what you’re thinking: Do we really need another hits collection from the Cars? The answer, for me, is yes as I somewhat surprisingly didn’t already have one among my collection. As should be expected, Moving In Stereo assembles the group’s biggest hits spanning the last 38 years, including a track (“Sad Song”) from their 2011 reunion album Move Like This. Overall, the collection is solid, and includes “You Might Think,” “Drive,” “My Best Friend’s Girl,” “Just What I Needed,” and “Shake It Up” among 13 others. Somewhat conspicuously absent is the band’s 1984 hit “Magic,” but aside from that minor detail, this greatest hits collection can stand alongside the best of them.
