Review of Rich Robinson – The Ceaseless Sight (The End Records)

unnamedThe third solo record from Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson doesn’t forge new territory as much as it serves as a showcase for Robinson to do what he does best: Guitar-driven southern blues rock that owes a debt to greats like the Allman Brothers Band, the Rolling Stones and others. Especially memorable is the uplifting chorus that graces acoustic track “One Road Hill” but that seems to be Robinson’s knack throughout The Ceaseless Sight’s dozen tracks. As a whole, the record radiates a warmth that captivates at every turn.
