Review: Fleetwood Mac – Tusk (3 CD Deluxe Edition) (Warner Music Canada)

Fleetwood MacFollowing up a massive record is no easy feat. This was no doubt the conundrum facing Fleetwood Mac when crafting Tusk, the follow-up to their multi-million selling album Rumours. Released at the tail end of 2015, this gorgeous 3-CD edition revisits Tusk and includes the original 20-song album, a disc of remixes and outtakes as well as “The Alternate Tusk,” a collection of mostly unreleased material that shines a different light on the album via alternate versions of each of the songs. At times defiantly unconventional (“The Ledge,” “Not That Funny,” “That’s Enough For Me”), there are also plenty of moments in which the group created chart-topping pop singles, both sides of the band featured here have played an integral part in Tusk remaining a masterpiece in its own right.
