Redd Kross – Researching The Blues (Merge Records)

  • by Ken Kelley
  • August 9, 2012

It has been a long 15 years since the last time we heard from California’s Redd Kross. While some might have questioned the band reconvening their late 80’s lineup in the 21st century, the results are nothing short of magical. Combining the very best aspects of 1990’s Third Eye and 1993’s Phaseshifter, Redd Kross sound as though they haven’t missed a beat. Coming in at just over 31 minutes in length, Researching The Blues is the sound of a rock n roll band revitalized and ready to show the world why they are still relevant.
