Duran Duran – A Diamond In The Mind: Live 2011 (Eagle Rock Entertainment)

  • by Ken Kelley
  • August 2, 2012

Boasting a collection of new and old songs alike, Duran Duran sound as though they haven’t aged one bit since their early to mid-80’s heyday. Recorded in concert in Manchester last year, the group delivers stellar, faithful versions of hits like The Reflex, Hungry Like The Wolf and Rio. And despite their obvious lack of taking chances with the interpretation of their tried and true hits, the crowd eats it up, showing that the song might be the same but that suits this audience just fine. A nice collection for sure, however there is nothing truly remarkable about it either.
