Cookie Duster – When Flying Was Easy (Maplemusic)

  • by Ken Kelley
  • July 5, 2012

With Broken Social Scene on a bit of a break these days, BSS membet Brendan Canning chose to resurrect his group Cookie Duster, formed with two former members of Canadian indie rock legends Change of Heart in addition to the charming Jeen O’Brien. At the core of the group is good ole fashioned rock n roll however the infuses their songs with hints of electronica as heard on Cut Me Focus and We Stepped On Glass. While some bands might crumble under the lack of musical structure, Cookie Duster thrives on eliminating those boundaries.
